First of all, I LOVE the Disneyland vacation story, I can completely envision this and I kind of wish I could have witnessed it!
Page 4, second paragraph, end of first sentence: I think you mean “maximum.”
Page 7: I *really* like that cloud of rust analogy… did I mention that already?
Page 8: A little Christian Hedonism a la John Piper… love it! In a completely unrelated side note, this also reminds me of the book Grace Walk, and the idea that when you are loving God first, you can do whatever you want, because what you want will mirror what God wants, so there are no wrong choices. I’m not sure I entirely agree with it, but it’s a comforting thought nonetheless.
I will take you to Disneyland anytime to show you how it’s done!

RE: Christian Hedonism… Obviously, our motives are as important to God as our actions. But sometimes we have to “fake it ’til you make it” – start to obey even when we don’t feel like it. Once we’re in the flow of making good choices, the right motives will come. There are wrong choices, but thanks to the freedom we have in Christ, there are many, many options for being creative with our lives that still fall within God’s desires. The characteristics that make us who we are are part of God’s design for us, I think.
